S. Raghunath is Professor of Corporate Strategy and Policy . He specializes in Strategic Alliances and Strategic Leadership. He has researched these topics, taught them to Post Graduate and Doctoral students and executives, and consulted with major Indian companies and multinational corporations. He along with other colleagues researched developed a unique action-learning programme for owner-managers of startups and medium enterprise for managing business growth.


He teaches post–graduation and doctoral courses in Alliance Management, Strategic Networks and Corporate Strategy and Policy and leads the IIMB executive Programmes on Strategic Issues in Alliances, Acquisitions and Negotiations. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University (1990 – 1991) where he engaged in research in strategy making in IT companies. He was also a visiting Professor at the University of Buckingham, UK and the RMIT School of Business Melbourne, Australia, INSEAD France.


Prof. Raghunath also teaches in the Post Graduate Programme in Software Enterprise Management (PGSM) an elective course on e-business Strategies and models. He has been a consultant on e-business Strategies and models, a knowledge management initiative of Satyam Infoway and Satyam computer Services Ltd. He has published several papers, case studies and book chapter and the same have been covered extensively in leading publications. He has written extensively in the areas of international alliances for practitioner and academic communities and writes a column on “Strategy” for “Outlook Business”


Prof. Raghunath is on the board of Academy of International Business (AIB) India Chapter and on the Boards of hi–tech companies and National Venture Fund. He is a Registered Consultant with the office of Project Services, UNDP, New York.
